Advisory Committee


The Texas Family Child Care Network (Texas FCCN) is seeking dedicated Family Child Care Providers to serve on our Advisory Committee. This is your chance to directly influence statewide initiatives supporting Texas FCC providers and help build a stronger, more connected child care community across the state.

The Texas FCCN is funded by the Texas Workforce Commission and implemented by Civitas Strategies, in partnership with Shine Early Learning, the United Ways of Texas, and other partners, to create a comprehensive support system for family child care providers.

About the Advisory Committee

The Advisory Committee will consist of up to 15 family child care providers who will:

  • Meet quarterly to provide insights and recommendations (meetings conducted in English with Spanish translation available)

  • Help evaluate network services and suggest improvements

  • Promote the program to peers

  • Contribute to creating a supportive statewide community for FCC providers

Who We're Looking For

We aim to build a diverse committee that represents:

  • Various regions across Texas (both urban and rural areas)

  • Various experience levels in the field

  • Providers from child care deserts

  • Providers offering infant/toddler care

  • Providers offering non-traditional hour care

Time Commitment & Compensation

  • Four quarterly meetings (approximately 2 hours each)

  • Occasional input between meetings (less than 60 minutes per quarter)

  • $1,500 annual stipend provided to compensate for your time and expertise

How to Apply

Complete our brief application here by June 30, 2025. The application will ask about:

  • Your FCC business location and years of experience

  • The communities and children you serve

  • Your experience with infant/toddler care and/or non-traditional hours

  • Your interest in serving on the committee
